Las Vegas - Six rug manufacturers exhibiting at the Las Vegas Market are moving their showrooms to World Market Center's Building B in preparation for this summer's show, which runs Aug. 1-5.
Relocating are Chandra (moving to B-300), Natco/Central Oriental (B-367), Dynamic Rugs (B-504), Masland Carpet and Rugs (B-416), Rizzy Rugs (B-518, 520 and 524) and Colonial Mills (B-431).
Their move to floors 3, 4 and 5 of Building B puts the showrooms in the same area as the majority of rug manufacturers showing at the WMC. The new location also offers crossover opportunities with the home décor companies that exhibit in the area, a WMC executive said.
"With the move to Building B, these rug showrooms will experience a new synergy and excitement with the strong home décor segment at Las Vegas Market," said Bob Maricich, ceo for International Market Centers, parent company of World Market Center.
Rug executives said they expect to see more buyers in their new locations.
"We are excited about moving where we hope to see more mainstream rug buyer traffic in Building B," said Dan Phelan, vp of marketing for Masland Carpet and Rugs. "Masland has shown at the Las Vegas Market for the last two years and we are confident the move to Building B will garner more buyers."
WMC will mark the relocations with a champagne toast in each relocated showroom at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3.
Floors 3, 4 and 5 also will feature "B Scene" vignettes showcasing products from home décor and rug manufacturers exhibiting at market.
We would love your feedback!
