DeRosa New President of Cody Direct

VINCENT DEROSA Cody DirectNEW YORK - Industry veteran Vincent DeRosa has been named president of Cody Direct, which has been acquired by home textiles manufacturer Hanung Toys & Textiles Ltd. of Noida, India.
     DeRosa will be responsible for all sales and marketing for the company. He was previously president of Whisper Soft Mills, executive vp of TexStyle (which acquired Whisper Soft in 2008) and senior vp at CHF Industries.
     Hanung Toys & Textiles Ltd., founded in 1990, manufactures decorative top-of-bed products including comforters, quilts and bedspreads. Hanung also produces sheet sets, decorative pillows, soft window treatments and table linens.
     A.K. Bansal, Hanung's chairman and managing director, said, "Hanung has long desired to enter the U.S. market in an aggressive, design-driven manner. The acquisition of Cody Direct and the putting in place of a strong management team, coupled with our strengths as a manufacturer, should prove to be the right combination for strong growth in this marketplace."
