Ikea to open 38th U.S. unit

Centennial, Colo. - Swedish home furnishings retailer Ikea will open a new store here in late July, the international chain's first location in this state and its 38th in the U.S..

Situated in the Denver area, the 415,000-square-foot "Ikea Centennial" store is set to open its doors on July 27 - "much earlier than originally envisioned," noted Ikea project construction manager Doug Wolfe.
