Bloomies to open three more outlets

Cincinnati - Macy's Inc. is building out its nascent Bloomingdale's Outlet concept, with the opening of three more stores this September and October.
The company launched the outlet division in fall 2010 with the opening of four sites.
In September, an outlet will open at Miromar Outlets in Estero, Fla. In October, outlets will open at Wrentham Village Premium Outlets in Wrentham, Mass., and Woodfield Village Green in Schaumburg, Ill. The outlets are 24,000 to 25,0000 sq. ft.
The company said it is considering additional Bloomingdale's Outlet stores for 2012 and beyond.
"Our first four outlet stores have helped us to learn this business and refine our merchandising and in-store presentation," said Michael Gould, chairman and ceo of Bloomingdale's.
The four initial Bloomingdale's Outlet stores are in: Bergen Town Center, Paramus, NJ; Dolphin Mall, Miami.; Potomac Mills, Woodbridge, Va.; and Sawgrass Mills, Sunrise, Fla.
