Royale Linens Debuts Collection by Vicki Payne

Vicki PayneKEARNY, N.J. - Royale Linens will debut the For Your Home by Vicki Payne collection, featuring the inspiration of the designer and host and driving force of the nationally syndicated TV show "For Your Home."
     The launch will take place during the New York Home Fashions Market in March and will be shown in Royale's showroom at 7 W. 34th St.
     Frank Snow, Royale's vp of merchandising, described Payne as "a cross between Bob Vila with the nuts and bolts and also a designer. She's got a lot to bring to the table on that." For the past 15 years, her "For Your Home" program has been PBS's leading home and garden lifestyle show.
     "Developing a design concept that is easy to understand and timeless," said Payne, the author of nine books. "enhances the value and functionality of each room."
     The collection debuts with four designs ranging from understated formal to urban chic with clean lines and enhanced by product detail. There are two feminine beds and two masculine beds. The line also includes a core solid color sheet program constructed of 60% cotton, 40% Tencel.
     "The colors in the designs are rich and fully saturated which allow the consumer a wide latitude in selecting paint and accents to personalize the room's final décor," Payne said.
     Marla Stuchel, Royale Linens' director of design, said Payne's focus on design and detail "answers the consumer's desire for elegant bedroom ensembles that are affordable and of high quality."
     National sales manager Mark Lipsey said Payne's show has a strong following among educated women, 25-50 years old with home values in excess of $500,000. "This demographic classification is the same consumer group that better department stores focus the major part of their advertising efforts in reaching," he said.
     Payne will be in Royale Linens' showroom Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of market week.
     Also during market, Royale Linens will be showing what Snow called "experimental sheets - construction blends we think will be important going forward."
