The Rug Market America rolls out swatch program

HTT Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 3/31/2011 2:51:56 PM

Los Angeles - Contemporary handmade rug company The Rug Market America has developed a new swatch program for its interior designer and retail customers to more efficiently display its products.

The launch is set for the upcoming High Point Market at The Rug Market's showroom in space M-100-A at Market Square.

Designed to be "economical and convenient," The Rug Market said, its new swatch program is comes as a packaged offering that includes sample rugs from company's Maison, Ecconox and Frisco collections.

"In an effort to assist our retailers and designers in their sales efforts, we have developed a new process for sampling and merchandising our rugs designs," said Mike Shabtai, owner of The Rug Market America. "With this multi-option program, our customers can have samples available for their consumers' review in an economical and convenient manner."

For rug retailers with established fixtures, The Rug Market offers a swatch package that includes 60 rug designs of their choice as well as supporting signage and catalogs. Additional fixtures also are available at an additional cost.

For designers with limited space, the program's fixtures are available for $20 (including freight) per sample. Swatches can be returned for a refund of purchase price minus shipping upon receipt with pre-paid return freight.

For the program, rug samples come in a 16-by-27 doormat size - "[representing] the rug's design and not a corner design alone," said The Rug Market.

The swatch program will be available to dealers by fall 2011 with limited availability as early as summer 2011.
