PITTSBURGH - American Textile Company will open a new manufacturing plant and distribution center by the end of the first quarter 2011 in Tifton, Ga., to support its accounts in the Southeast.
The 218,000-sq.-ft. plant will initially produce sleep pillows, a growing business for the manufacturer. American Textile also produces pillows at facilities in Duquesne, Pa., Salt Lake City and Dallas.
"The opening of the Tifton facility completes our strategic nationwide pillow distribution strategy," said John Riccio, cfo.
About 50 people will work at the plant when it opens. But the end of 2016, American Textile expects the facility to employ about 120 people.
We would love your feedback!
