NRF appoints Neiman Marcus's Katz and Sheplers' Myers to board

New York --During its 100th Annual Convention and Expo here today, The National Retail Federation announced the addition of two retail executives elected to serve on its board of directors.
They are: Karen Katz, ceo of The Neiman Marcus Group; and Bob Myers, ceo of Sheplers, Inc. Each will serve a three-year term.
Additionally, the following were elected to the NRF board as representatives of the Associate Member Advisory Council to serve one-year terms each:
- Bill Gonzalez, general manager, worldwide distribution and services, Microsoft
- Kim Goodman, president, merchants services Americas, American Express Company
- Karen Lowe, general manager, global retail industry, IBM Corporation
"As NRF continues to evolve as an organization, we will rely on the leadership that these executives have demonstrated throughout their extensive careers," said Matthew Shay, NRF president and ceo. "Cohesively, our board of directors represents the breadth and diversity we see in the retail industry and we look forward to utilizing their knowledge and experience in the years to come."
