Minneapolis - Hoping to churn some post-holiday sales, on the day after Christmas Target Corp. is extending its store hours, offering free shipping on its website on select items, and hosting a sale in some product categories.
Store hours on Dec. 26 will be 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
"Most holiday gift cards are redeemed in our electronics department so we are gearing up for great deals on some of our guests' favorite products such as video games, TVs and cameras," explained Nik Nayar, vp, merchandising.
Target said its gift cards "never expire" and can be reloaded, free of charge, at any Target store or online at www.Target.com.
While electronics and toys are at the center of Target's Dec. 26 promotions, the retailer said it continues to offer its customers a 5% discount on nearly all purchases at Target and Target.com when they use their Target REDcard.
Additionally, as part of its Bullseye free shipping program, shoppers will save on shipping charges when they spend $50 or more on select items. This offer is available daily at Target.com across various categories, including apparel, toys, kitchen, bedding, furniture, home decor and more.
