Dalton, Ga. - Indian area rug company L.R. Resources has acquired longtime area rug and home textiles accessories design house Trade Am International Inc.
Founded in 2002, L.R. Resources is a supplier of a variety of hand-crafted rugs made in India. Constructions include handmade, hand-knotted, hand-spun and hand-tufted varieties.
Via its purchase of Norcross, Ga.-based Trade Am, L.R. Resources' product mix expands into more rug styles as well as a bevy of other home textiles product categories that includes accent rugs, decorative pillows, top of bed, and others.
In time for the upcoming International Area Rug Market from Jan. 13 to 16, the acquisition also provides L.R. Resources with a new and significantly larger showroom in Atlanta at the AmericasMart. Whereas L.R. Resources previously occupied a 1,700-square-foot space in the mart for the past six years, the company is now located in Trade Am's former 9,300-square-foot showroom in space 4-F-11 in Building 1.
L.R. Resources said its acquisition of Trade Am "will vastly improve its ability to bring exciting and innovative products to market and greatly enhance its ability to service customers' needs."
The company has also recruited Trade Am's design and marketing team.
We would love your feedback!
