Belle Harbor, N. Y. - Services were held for Steve Tabasco, 82, who died in September.
Tabasco, a long-time mill executive, was one of the pioneers in the licensing of sports and cartoon characters in the home textiles industry. He was one of the Bibb Co.'s leaders in the licensing world, bringing Star Wars and Strawberry Shortcake to the market.
He is survived by his wife Lois, two daughters and a son.

I knew Steve from the early 1980's when I was with Franco Mfg. and new to the Licensing business. He was always willing to share knowledge and was a terrific guy. He was one of the early leaders and respected by everone.
I'm so sorry to learn of his passing. Sincere condolences to his family.

Wow! I was so saddened to read of Steve's passing! What a great guy and all who knew him had to love him!The Bibb Co. had Star Wars but it would never have worked for Bibb without Steve! He was one of those people that made the world a better place! The family has to be so proud of the man and person! God Bless you. Tedd Smith
