Unifi to officially open Central American plant

Greensboro, N.C. - Fiber manufacturer Unifi on Dec. 2 will hold a ribbon cutting in El Salvador to mark the opening of Unifi Central America.
The 120,000 square foot plant, located in the American Industrial Park in La Libertad, will produce textured and twisted polyester filament yarns for a range of end uses.
Juan Zepeda serves as general manager and Joey Yates as sales manager of UCA.
Unifi's expansion of manufacturing operations into Central America operation will provide enhanced regional and global sourcing solutions to our growing customer base," said Roger Berrier, executive vp for Unifi.
