Eileen West licensees launch new collections for market

Home Textiles Today Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 9/9/2010 5:25:36 PM

San Francisco - Under the new Italian Romance theme of soft florals and delicate embroideries in pastels and rich colors come several new bedding and bath collections from designer Eileen West's home textiles licensees.

Set to debut at the New York Home Fashions Market next week, these new programs are designed to match with the designer's new sleepwear and loungewear collection by the same name, Italian Romance. "Eileen West's elegant bedding and bath items epitomize comfort, quality and above all la dolce vita," the company stated. "It truly mirrors Eileen West sleepwear in design and craftsmanship."

At AQ Textiles, in suite 212 at 230 Fifth Avenue, the fashion bedding collection will be on display. The grouping employs sophisticated jacquards and floral prints with modern chic overtones. The new looks span three coordinated 400-count cotton sateen print fashion beds as well as three coordinated woven jacquard fashion beds, which include comforter sets, Euro shams, decorative pillows, sheets and window treatments.

American Dawn Inc., which operates its showroom on the second floor of 290 Fifth Avenue, is Eileen West's bath towel licensee. New for market is a dual-purpose, core solid color collection that boasts softness and extra absorbency. The color scheme is traditional Eileen West soft pastel shades. The towels are being paired with a decorative program that includes a broad selection of floral jacquards, classic stripes and detailed embroideries.

Shower curtain and bath rug licensee Park B. Smith Inc., in suite 1818 at 230 Fifth Avenue, is introducing lofty and thick bath rugs and water resistant shower curtains.

Signature Eileen West details are being applied to the Italian Romance quilts by licensee Hedaya Home Fashions, in suite 1012 at 295 Fifth Ave.

United Feather & Down, located at 1071 Avenue of the Americas in suite 200, is showing a utility bedding collection of nine new prints and embroideries. Each of the bed pillows and coordinating comforters feature the designer's own hand-drawn floral designs and signature embellishments, inspired by the Italian countryside.
