7 W features shows within market week

New York - For the upcoming Home Fashions Market here next this month, industry showroom building 7 W 34th Street has announced new exhibiting companies and brands taking spaces in the new HTT-sponsored Global Interiors Home Collection Show, and the second year run for the New York International Carpet Show (NYICS).
"We are really excited about all of our building-wide exhibitors," said Su Hilty, vp of marketing, 7 W. "Buyers now have 11 floors filled with new suites and exhibitors, the New York International Carpet Show (NYICS) and the Global Interiors Home Collection Show, all adding up to an extremely rich shopping experience."
The building is casting a spotlight on the NYICS, which runs within the market, from September 12 to 14. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily on the 11th floor exhibit space.
The building will also hold its next 7 W Designer Day event on Sept. 13, when Pantone's vp of fashion, home and interiors, Laurie Pressman, will lead a presentation on general trends in color as well as its role in carpet design. Additionally, on hand will be three industry leaders to offer their take on trends: rug industry writer Alix Perrachon, carpet designer Malene Barnett, and Benjamin Moore 2010 HUE award winner and interior designer Ghislaine Viñas.
This being its second year at 7 W, the NYICS exhibitor list will include major importers of high-end, hand-woven carpets showing a range of soft floor covering products..
