Tuesday Morning FY sales rise

HTT Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 7/12/2010 3:50:33 PM

Dallas - Tuesday Morning just wrapped its fiscal year with an annual sales increase of 3.3% to $828.3 million. Comps for the year rose 2.2%

For the further quarter ended June 30, sales rose 6.4% to $200.8 million, with same-store sales up 6.4%.

"For the third consecutive quarter, we posted increases in both comparable store sales and traffic. We are encouraged by these solid gains in what continues to be a weak housing market and difficult economy," said Kathleen Mason, president and ceo.

The company expects 4Q earnings per share for the fourth quarter in the range of 2 cents to 4 cents compared to a loss in the year-ago quarter of 4 cents. For the fiscal year, Tuesday Morning anticipates EPS of 24 cents to 26 cents. In the prior fiscal year, earnings were $0.00.

The company will report full results Aug. 24.
