New York - WestPoint Home is expanding its licensed brand portfolio with the addition of Hanes in bedding and bath.
WestPoint will produce Hanes sheets, fashion bedding and accessories, bath towels and accessories, blankets and throws as well as utility bedding. The first wave of product is expected to arrive at retail in spring 2011.
"Hanes is one of the most beloved and most recognized brands in the U.S. Our designers have put together a collection that is comfortable, functional, innovative, and in easy to live with designs," said John Piazza, WestPoint Home's president and ceo.
Sidney Falken, senior vice president, Hanes brand, pointed to WestPoint's more than 200 years in business and characterized the company as "a key strategic player in the bed and bath arena."
I bought a comforter and sheets back in 2005 and they are still holding up really good. The others in other brands has fallen apart. I wish I could find them in store. I have really enjoyed your linens for bedding. Thanks Hanes
Willie Henslee - 2011-01-02 22:38:34 ESTI'm hoping they make some of the comforters/sheets like they used to make under the "hanes for the home" line. I still have my twin size dorm comforter, it is falling apart, but is still the most comfortable blanket in the house.

I agree that Gold Toe might be next. WPH gives up on Grand Patrician, one of the most prestigious names in linens and goes with an underwear brand?

How does underwear tie into home textiles? I think WestPoint should quickly look to see if anyone has locked up the "Gold Toe" license.
