7W to host events in August

New York – The 7 W New York showroom building will hold several educational sessions and events this August during the overlapping Gift & Home Textiles Market Week and NYC Baby & Kids Fair.
On Aug. 13, UK Trade & Investment of the British Consulate-General will sponsor Uniquely UK, a preview session for giftware buyers from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the 7W Reception Suite.
On Aug. 14, PopUpInsider ceo Christina Norsig will present “Pop-Up Shop 1010,” a guide to creating temporary retail outlets. She will be joined by Eric Michael Anton, an investment sales professional with expertise in real estate development and construction management.
The session takes place at 4 p.m. in the 7W event suite and will be followed by a reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Pop-Up Shop Gallery.
On Aug. 15, HTT sister publication Gifts & Decorative Accessories will hold the 59th Annual Retailer Excellence Awards ceremony at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
On Aug. 16, GDA will host a retailer round table examining store design, marketing, visual merchandising, and use of the internet to have an award-winning business from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the event space. An On the Board Walk reception takes place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at various showrooms in the building. There will also be a kick-off party for the baby and kids fair from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Aug. 17, a special presentation called “Baby & Kids Product Profiles” will take place from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the event space. The session will showcase new and innovative products for the sector.
