Safavieh Plans Showroom Move

Safavieh will host a party during the upcoming Atlanta International Area Rug market to mark the opening of its new and larger showroom at the AmericasMart.

The upscale area rug house is moving into the fifth floor of Building 1 to a 13,000-square-foot showroom in space 5-A-2 — which is twice the size of its former fourth-floor space in 4-C-1.

Safavieh will host its grand opening event for retail partners and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 8. The market is scheduled from Jan. 7 to 10.

"This fifth floor showroom provides us with the open plan design that will allow us to merchandise our designer licensing collections as distinctive and individual shops with inspirational ideas that would translate to a retail setting," said Arash Yaraghi, principal. "We are thrilled with the opportunities for presenting our customers with new showroom display ideas, and are working with our Safavieh Couture designer partners to prepare their spaces in time for the winter market in Atlanta."

Safavieh is also currently producing rug collections in licensing partnerships with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and designers Thomas O'Brien, David Easton, Jamie Drake, Suzanne Kasler and Thom Filicia Home.
