Mohawk expands Laura Ashley program

SUGAR VALLEY , Ga. — Mohawk Home has expanded its Laura Ashley branded licensed program to include an open line set to launch in January at the Atlanta International Area Rug market.

After debuting its exclusive program, Laura Ashley Lifestyle, with Kohl's six months ago, Mohawk Home has now created the Laura Ashley Home collection. It comprises 100 percent polypropylene rugs in seven designs, each available in various color combinations. Targeting mid- and high-tier department and specialty stores, the collection's rugs are set to retail for $299.99 for a 5-by-8.

All of the collection's rugs are manufactured domestically by Mohawk.

"These rugs are designed to … capture the look of the new Laura Ashley, which is more contemporary and updated," said Merle Johnson, vice president, marketing, Mohawk Home. "We have classified the Laura Ashley Home products as traditional but with more simplistic looks."
