Revere, U.S. Polo Association partner for bath towel program

At the New York Market – Revere Mills and longtime apparel brand U.S. Polo Association have joined forces to create a collection of 12 solid and striped bath ensembles.

The launch is this week during market.

For Jordache Enterprises-owned U.S. Polo Association, the partnership with Revere marks its entry into the home category. Six months ago, the brand embarked on its venture with the towel manufacturer; soon after, if also found a bedding supplier, Mytex, which is also launching its U.S. Polo Association collection this week at market as well.

Isaac Mossery, president of the home division of the U.S. Polo Association, told HTT that with the brand well established in the men’s, women’s and children’s apparel industry, “we are a lifestyle brand and to complete it, we must have home with it.”

This partnership is also a milestone for Revere, which produced many private label programs for several retail partners but has not partnered directly with a brand in many years.

Revere’s program consists of 10 solid-colored offerings – white, navy, American red, yellow, hunter, Caribbean blue, spice, moss, flax and coco – and two tonal striped patterns – navy stripe and coco stripe. The towels coordinate directly with bath rugs.

The goods are made by Revere at the company’s mill in Pakistan. The towels weigh 18 pounds per dozen and are 100% Egyptian cotton loop. The bath towels measure 30-by-56. The rugs are also made by Revere and are 100% cotton.

The collection targets regional and better department and specialty stores.

Anchored by Revere’s towels and Mytex’s bedding, Mossery said “for now, we will develop what we’ve got. This is a big enough venture for right now.”
