New York – The New York Chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) will introduce the industry to its three 2008 Rising Stars of interior design on Wednesday, Nov. 19.
Hosted by Dennis Miller and Tucker Robbins, and also The NY Design Center and Array Magazine, the Rising Stars event will feature the three choices of Interior Design Hall of Famer Jamie Drake.
The event will be held at the NYDC, 200 Lexington Ave., at Dennis Miller Associates, suite 1510, with cocktails starting at 5:30 p.m.; and the program at 6:30 p.m. in the Tucker Robbins Showroom, Suite 1516.
Jamie Drake has selected these Rising Stars:
-
Kristen McGinnis has “a curator’s knowledge of 20th century art and design which she integrates with various styles, creating a unique and personal vision with a heightened sensitivity to color and textiles.”
-
Peter Lentz “combines refined simplicity with unexpected flair to create interiors that focus on the aesthetic -- pure lines, exciting textures and elegant palettes.”
-
Brad Ford creates interiors that are “understated yet sophisticated, functional and edgy. He uses clean lines and simple well-crafted furnishings with and attention to balance, light, space and color.”
“The interior design industry is lucky to have these ‘Rising Stars’ sparkling in our galaxy,” said Drake. “Although stylistically they differ, each has the gift of magic, a combination of design genius matched with marketing savvy.”
