SCOUT Limited formed by two designer-suppliers

Millboro, Va. – Two companies that specialize in the design and importing of a range of home décor products, Bungalow and Park Designs, have united to form SCOUT Limited. Scout Limited is established as a holding company that has acquired the operations of the two original firms.
Ben Johns has been named ceo. Johns is known for his work as co-founder and president of The Bacova Guild. Marty Metzler will serve as chief operating officer, Scout Limited, and president of Park Designs. Tom Bell, co-founder and chairman of Park Designs, will serve in an advisory role. Rob Shriver continues as president of Bungalow.
Scout Limited now commands design, manufacturing, sourcing, sales and customer service capacity for a range of products that includes, from the Bungalow side: flooring, tabletop, bags and home accessories; and from the Park Designs side: textiles, jacquard dish towels, rugs, window treatments, giftware, lamps and shades and ceramics.
The company operates a 91,000-sq.-ft. distribution center in Goldsboro, N.C. and a 41,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing and warehouse facility in Millboro, Va.
