ShopKo selects interim management team

GREEN BAY , Wis. — ShopKo Stores’ Board of Directors has appointed a three-person management committee to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company.

The committee is made up of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Brian Bender, Senior Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer Paul White, and President Michael Hopkins.

The committee will report to the board and lead the company pending the completion of the proposed merger involving ShopKo Stores, Inc. and an affiliate of Minneapolis-based private equity investment firm Goldner Hawn Johnson & Morrison Incorporated.
