Stanton nabs PB development vet

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 11/10/2003 12:00:00 AM

Stanton Carpet Corporation has hired Amy Chato as product manager, a new position. She will be involved in the development, sourcing and implementation of new rug and broadloom products for the high-end market.

Previously, Chato was textile sourcing manager at Pottery Barn. Prior to that, she was product development manager at Bon Motif in California, where she designed and developed accent rug, area rug, bath rug, and towel lines for the New York Home Textile and Atlanta Area Rug Markets. She has also worked for Eileen West and Raymond Waites.

At Stanton, Chato will report directly to Sy Cohen, president.

"Possibilities for product developments are endless and come from the ideas of people all over the world," Cohen said. "Amy, utilizing her extensive contacts, will work closely with vendors from around the world to further develop the look that defines Stanton Carpet."
