Polymer Group will relocate headquarters to Charlotte area

North Charleston, S.C. -- Polymer Group will set up a new corporate headquarters in Charlotte, N.C. area, consolidating many of its sales, administrative and other operational offices to better serve the customers of its nonwoven, engineered materials. The move will take place by August; about 100 employees will make the new site their base, joining a handful of top managers who are already there.
The move will locate Polymer Group closer to its Mooresville, N.C., manufacturing plant, which is now undergoing a $40 million expansion, expected to add an another 50 jobs. In all, the company operates 21 manufacturing facilities in a dozen countries.
James Schaeffer, ceo, said the move “puts us closer to our manufacturing operations and customers. In addition, it will improve our efficiencies and provide us with the infrastructure we need to continue to grow our business.”
