Brooklyn, N.Y. – The fifth annual BKLYN DESIGNS art, architecture and home furnishings design show will be open to the public next week at three venues in the Boerum Hill, Fort Greene, and DUMBO neighborhoods.
Presented by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, the event combines celebrations, shows, and the displays of 64 exhibitors of Brooklyn-based designers of contemporary furniture, lighting, linens, rugs, and decorative accessories.
A full conference and seminar program is offered.
Among the first-day events is a kick-off party on Friday, May 11 at DWR Montague Street; there is a Saturday night party hosted by New York magazine; and a wealth of exhibits such as “Models and Prototypes Born in Brooklyn,” a collaboration with Metropolis magazine hosted by the powerHouse Arena bookstore.
