Brights Lead Spring Looks

New York —
Saturated color and apparel influences reigned supreme in spring 2005 collections with pinks, greens, blues, corals, and black-and-white looks dominating the season.
An emergence of yellows, greener-casted blues, oranges and reds were also strong in addition to cosmetics-inspired powder pink and fashion tweeds.
“The whole theme was color and fun inspired by what's happening in fashion,” described Shay Zamir, vice president of merchandising at Divatex. The bedding company has recently featured several contemporary geometric prints in an array of hip colors and fabrics like half Panamas, cotton slubs, boucles, tweeds, satins, silks and vintage cloths.
Dakotah has offered a new twist on black and white with conversational shopping scenes and menswear-inspired pillows with brights on gussets, cords and/or reverses. Scala, on the other hand, has gone glitz and glam in chiffon, cotton silk and linen panels with smocking or jewelry.
We would love your feedback!
