Dale joins Madden as consultant

RYE, NY —

Designer and author Chris Casson Madden recently hired industry veteran Gretchen Dale as a design consultant, working alongside Madden's design team at Chris Casson Madden Inc., based here.

Dale was most recently at Pillowtex as senior vp of design and new product development until the company folded recently. Prior to that, she was with Bardwil Linens as its evp, marketing.

In her new stint, she reports to Madden.

"Gretchen is helping us in all design aspects, from my books to our program with JCPenney," Madden told HTT. "I've known her for years, and she's exactly what we were looking for — someone who's got great eyes for design and who is creative, fun, intelligent, witty and positive."

Added Dale: "It's a great pleasure for me to be involved with Chris as she launches her new endeavor."
