Jia Li launches window treatments

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 2/12/2008 10:05:00 AM

At the New York Market -- Shanghai-based Jia Li Textiles, known for its quilts and bedding, this market is expanding into the window coverings category by launching a series of products that coordinate with its beds or stand alone.

“We felt we wanted to expand our product lines ad we were already known for our intricate embroideries, so it seemed like a natural extension,” offered Sharon Shields, vp, design director. “There will be several price points targeted for catalog as well as retail stores,” although prices are still being set.

The line includes basic sheers and embroidered lace curtains in an antique vintage taupe, ivory, white, classic burgundy and sage. Tuscany, a cotton velvet, is a printed damask with metallic finish, available in ice blue with silver, and antique gold.

Romanesque will hit higher price points. It is a faux silk fabric with a classical embroidered scroll; four colors are available. Adrienne is a traditional Priscilla curtain offered in faux silk or cotton, in four colors plus white.
