Ruttenberg promoted

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 8/11/2003 12:00:00 AM

The American Textile Company has promoted Lance Ruttenberg to executive vp and vp of operations. He also will become a member of the company's executive committee.

Ruttenberg was responsible for initiating a lengthy search to make ATC a globally competitive supplier of allergen barrier mattress covers, pillow covers and other protective health bedding products, resulting in the relocation of the company's manufacturing capabilities to El Salvador. He also oversaw the implementation of a company-wide Enterprise Resources Planning computer system that changed the way the company plans production. Most recently, he was the executive charged with overseeing the construction of American Textile's new 107,000-square-foot headquarters and distribution center, located just outside of Pittsburgh.

Ruttenberg is the grandson of Charles Ruttenberg, one of the five brothers who founded the American Textile Company in 1925.
