WESTPOINT, GA — WestPoint Stevens has received an award from retail giant JCPenney for its help in launching Penney's new Dynamic Routing Project.
The award — which notes WPS' outstanding contribution — was presented May 3 to WPS president and coo Chip Fontenot before senior management teams from Penney's largest suppliers during its annual Supplier Summit.
The project enabled suppliers to request via EDI routing instructions for shipping product by sending information that could quickly be electronically analyzed to provide electronic instructions based on up-to-the-minute conditions. Eight suppliers had been chosen for the project, but WPS was the first to be ready to complete the project.
We would love your feedback!
