Kravet shifts Portfolio focus

BETHPAGE, NY —
Kravet Fabrics is changing the thrust of its Portfolio converting division. It will be "de-emphasizing some existing groups, and we won't be doing very inexpensive shoeducks from now on," said Cary Kravet, president of Kravet.
"We will shift our focus into better goods as well as licensed products, including Echo converted prints and the Laura Ashley Collection," Kravet explained. Currently, there are negotiations under way for additional licenses, but no contracts have been signed.
As part of the Portfolio shift to better goods, Kravet will expand its offering of decorative prints from Europe and jacquards from Asia, Kravet added.
To support the shift, Steve Prada, president of Portfolio, will be responsible for heading the sales efforts for the Portfolio line through Kravet.
John Dull continues as vp, sales for Kravet and its divisions: Lee Jofa, Mulberry Home, Portfolio and some United Kingdom units.
We would love your feedback!
