Salon de Textile is cancelled

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 7/12/2007 2:32:00 PM

Gloucestershire, England – Salon de Textile, the decorative fabrics and home textiles show that was planned to debut in Brussels, Belgium from September 7 to 10 has been cancelled.

The show, organized by Trade Link Co. here, was to be held in Brussels Tour and Taxis, as a successor show to Textiles d’Interieur Premiere (TIP) and was to run concurrently with Decosit as TIP had in previous years.

Bill Davis, director of Trade Link, said, “I’m very sad to announce that we have decided not to run Salon de Textile this year. After running a show in Brussels for 15 years, we feel our priorities lie elsewhere and we need to support other segments of the textile industry. We will concentrate our efforts on Scoperta, and we have other projects we are pursuing which we are very excited about, which I hope I will be able to announce soon.”

Trade Link operates Scoperta at the Fiera Milano at Rho, Italy at the same time as the high end decorative fabrics show in Cernobbio, Italy in May.
