Hayward, Calif. -- Dan Stengel has rejoined Keeco as president and ceo of U.S. Operations after being away for two years. Stengel returns to the company he built together with Leonard Kee, founder, in 1979.
Stengel left Keeco in 2006 for the furniture industry, where he worked with a small group of partners to build a factory-direct marketing and sales business.
Stengel said, “I had a fantastic time with great success in furniture and my time away from home textiles has given me a new insight into another industry and different ways in which business can be done.”
Although he was working in another segment of the home business, Stengel said he and Kee stayed in touch as friends and business advisors. “When we started talking about working together again, Leonard’s new vision, renewed personal commitment and enthusiasm was captivating. I knew it was the right time for me to re-engage.”
He added, “Our unique combination of being a direct China supplier with expansive additional China sourcing and almost 30 years of supply chain management logistics, in addition to our U.S. presence and design capabilities, is a market advantage we are fully prepared to embrace.”
