Duckwall Hires Consultancy For Help

Duckwall-ALCO Stores, Inc., a regional retailer operating 264 full-line discount and hometown variety stores in 21 states, has hired AlixPartners LLC to advise it on strategic positioning and operating effectiveness.

“AlixPartners has played a key role in helping a number of high profile retailers identify opportunities, develop solutions and implement effective changes in recent years,” commented Glen Shank, CEO of Duckwall-ALCO Stores, Inc.

Duckwall-ALCO entered the arrangement with AlixPartners in the hopes of boosting its financial performance, it stated.
