Valdese Weavers promotes Crisp

Valdese,N.C.— Joel Crisp has been promoted to vp of global operations at Valdese Weavers, and will direct the Valdese International Product (VIP) brand, in which products are designed and developed in the company’sNorth Carolinafacilities, yet sourced offshore with manufacturing partners in other countries.
TheVIPprogram also designs and develops products to be sourced by customers who use cut and sew capabilities abroad.
Crisp, a 30-year veteran of the textile industry, came to Valdese Weavers in May 2005 after serving as the vp of global sourcing with the Robert Allen Group.
“Joel Crisp has developed the VIP brand, conceived and executed a strategy for VIP and has grown the business exponentially,” said Michael Shelton, president and ceo of Valdese Weavers.
