New York – Sleepwell Inc., the U.S. division of vertical home textiles manufacturer Kamal Group, has taken a showroom here at 230 Fifth Ave. on the first floor (Suite 102) and will participate in its first New York Home Fashions Market, which runs Sept. 15-19.
Sleepwell was founded last spring, with Scott Gress as ceo, Lou Casali as svp of sales and marketing, and Eva Harley as creative director. It will initially focus on sheeting and bedding ensembles, but Kamal’s product range also includes quilts, bedspreads, duvet covers, sheet sets, curtains, table linens, pillows, sofa covers and decorative accessories.
Kamal Group, based in Faisalabad, Pakistan, did $64 million in export business last year, with the United States as its major export market. Kamal’s business units encompass spinning mills, fabrics, polyester and cotton yarn production, weaving, dyeing and sock manufacturing.
I purchased one of there complete bed sets.It had sheets, curtains, dust ruffle ,pillow shams, and comforter.I have never seen a more cheaply made set.Sheets never fit bed from day 1.The comforter is about a foot to short. So I am sure I will be buying another set soon because they won't hold up very long.
