Abbyson readies Vegas showroom

Las Vegas– Area rug company Abbyson Corp. has signed a lease for a 15,000-square-foot showroom in the not-yet-constructed Building C at theWorldMarketCenterhere.

Los Angeles-based Abbyson designs and manufactures hand-knotted Tibetan rugs and furniture pieces. It has had a presence at the WMC since the facility’s 2005 launch, with showroom in space 133 in the first floor atrium of Building A. In its new showroom, Abbyson will show for the first time its entire line of home furnishings products as well as the new product categories in the works for debut next year.

Yavar Rafieha, vp, marketing and sales, said, “Signing for 15,000 square feet is a tremendous step up for us. The signing of this lease is a strong indication of Abbyson’s rapid growth in the home furnishings industry over the past five years.”

Abbyson was established in the mid 1990s, originally as a home furnishings importer. In the past year it has expanded its product offerings, doubled its sales force, created catalogs for its hospitality, rug and furniture businesses and reorganized its distribution center at headquarters.
