Bobby Flay to join roster of Kohl’s exclusives

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 11/30/2007 9:07:00 AM

New York – Kohl’s is extending its collaboration with Food Network to now include an exclusive collection of kitchenware and casual entertaining products with the cable TV channel’s barbeque guru, Bobby Flay, with launch set for spring 2008.

The Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based, 929-unit promotional department store chain and Food Network originally partnered in 2006 for an exclusive line of Food Network-branded products.

The new program marks two milestones – Flay’s first merchandise collection, and Food Network’s first branded line of products created with a celebrity talent.

Kitchen textiles will be part of the casual lifestyle line, which will also include cookware, dinnerware, kitchen gadgets, utensils, cutlery, kitchen electrics and barbeque tools. The brand is inspired by Flay's style in preparing meals and entertaining with Mediterranean influences, bold colors and rich textures.

To support the launch of this line, Food Network will make Flay a focal point in programming, online, events and brand extensions. "Bobby has been an important member of the Food Network family for more than 13 years. We are excited to extend our partnerships with Kohl's and Bobby Flay,” said Sergei Kuharsky, general manager, Food Network.
