Connolly retires; led Lenox towel division of Bardwil

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 3/7/2006 1:25:00 PM

New York -- Bardwil Linens said goodbye to Meg Connolly last week after she announced her decision to retire. She was vp of the company's Lenox towel division, which she is attributed with helping launch for Bardwil two years ago when she joined the company.

"She said she wanted to retire and enjoy life with her family and friends," said Amy Zemser, vp, sales and marketing. "She wanted to leave on a high note after 25 years in the industry."

Prior to her time at Bardwil, Connolly was with WestPoint Stevens in its global sourcing operation for bath towels. But she spent most of her career at Pillowtex as division vp of sales and marketing of the Fieldcrest Cannon division, helping build its Charisma, Royal Velvet, Fieldcrest and Cannon brands.
