Wearbest Earns IMO Certification

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 8/7/2007 12:00:00 AM

Wearbest Sil-Tex Mills has been granted the International Maritime Organization (IMO) certification for its Bella-Dura fabrics for both upholstery and drapery applications on international cruise ships.

The certification IMO Res. A652, applies to upholstery applications for cruise ships; the Res. A.471 is the international test for drapery applications on cruise ships. The certification applies to all Bella-Dura categories: BellaDura Classic, Plush, and Drapery.

Irwin Gasner, president of Wearbest said, "The added plus is that the FR treatment that is applied does not affect the other performance characteristics (especially water repellency) and the fabrics can still be recycled."
