Calvin Klein Broadens Home Lines

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 8/10/2007 12:17:00 PM

New York — With volume in the Calvin Klein Collection ahead of 2006, Rudy Schmatz, chairman of Calvin Klein Home bed and bath, said the overall business is good.

The company also has completed the transition of its step-down Khaki program to Calvin Klein White Label with different assortments and price points, he reported. The first White Label line introduced last February ships this month to more than 200 doors, he said.

This White Label Collection introductions include six new beds with a younger point of view and more color than in the Collection beds, as well as a solid color sheet program. The Double Stitch sateen sheet is a 300 count sateen at $99.99 for the queen set, in 12 colors.

Bright Stripe in the White Label group is a dobby weave duvet mixing shades of rouge, garnet, cayenne, and aqua in a stripe; Squares is a mélange of different sized squares in orange and brown. All White Label bedskirts are a baby waffle weave. Queen duvet sets range from $199.99 to $229.99.

Calvin Klein Collection features six new beds including Palm, a positive/negative print rendition of a textured floral in pale aqua that creates a dimensional effect.

Multiple textured effects in gray and white create Onyx Screen, a print duvet with solid color sheets and embellished decorative pillows in shades of black, ebony, and white; while Sequoia is a woven duvet in a multi-weave and texture with a matelasse coverlet.

Acacia is a printed sateen with tossed flowers, mixes plum and mink; and Stitched Squared, a matelasse duvet with different squares and stitching colors; Beryl Marine a light blue bed with irregular stripes, both horizontally and vertically.

Queen duvet covers in Calvin Klein Collection are $250 to $280. New to the Calvin Klein Core program of solid colors is the Satin Rib Matelasse at $249 for the queen duvet.
