Mohawk creates new business post

SUGAR VALLEY, Ga. — Mohawk Home has appointed industry veteran Randy Gardner to the newly created post of new business manager.
Gardner most recently worked as vp of sales and marketing for Anderson, S.C.-based Orian Rugs, where he spent the past nine-and-a-half years. Before, he worked for WestPoint Stevens for more than eight years, most recently directing planning and scheduling for the accessories division.
In his new position, which he started this week, Gardner is in charge of developing new business in categories and distribution channels as of yet untapped by Mohawk Home. He reports to Jim Quist, vp, sales, and is based here at headquarters.
