New York —
Luxury fabric supplier F. Schumacher & Co. will merge its Decorators Walk, Greeff, and Schumacher brands and reposition these brands' product offerings exclusively under Schumacher.
The Interior Design Group has been renamed Schumacher and will restructure its product lines to focus resources on the company's best known assets: the Schumacher brand, its strong record of design excellence, and customer service.
"This move is designed to capitalize on the strength of our flagship brand and create a selection and buying experience that is easier and more productive for our clients," said president and general manager Corinne Kevorkian. Showrooms will be re-merchandised to make it easier for designers to select by category. All designs — existing and in development — will be positioned as part of the Schumacher brand.
"This is an exciting time for Schumacher and for the interior design industry, and we are confident that this strategy creates a critical mass of designs and collections under the Schumacher brand," said Gerald Puschel, ceo of F. Schumacher & Co.
