828 International is introducing its new Bellwood collection, which mixes eclectic styles with feminine accents to come up with a design portfolio that includes transitional florals, tracery, color blocks and ornamental details.
These rugs are hand-tufted of 100% washed wool in India. Sizes range from 2-by-10 through 10-by-14 and include eight-foot round.

The U.S. division of Belgian parent company Balta Group is introducing a new heat-set yarn called Radiance. Another benefit is a very soft hand. At a suggested retail of $149 to $179, Radiance rugs are positioned to offer value.

Capel Rugs and Jane Seymour Designs have teamed up to create and market a co-branded line of casual lifestyle area rugs.
Seymour has long been involved in the creative process of home design. She debuted her "Jane Seymour Home Collection" — which today comprises bedding, decorative home accessories, furniture and lighting — in January 2007 at the then-Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.
That launch coincided with her home décor book, "Making Yourself at Home: Finding Your Creativity and Putting It All Together," published by DK Adult.
Her most recent book, "Open Hearts," was published this year in January and will be available at Capel's showroom during her signing and luncheon event.
Capel is also planning to launch several other new collections. Among them are Karma Naturals and Regal.
Karma Naturals rugs are handmade from 100% natural fibers, hand-knotted in India. The designs draws inspiration from the spice bazaars of a bygone era, the company said. They are highly textured and are rendered in earth tones with antiqued variegation and a rich patina.
Regal comprises contemporary designs, with hints of Art Deco motifs, in soft modern patterns and colors. Made in India, weavers use 100% mill-spun wool to give these rugs a smooth feel. And each rug is triple washed for a rich patina.
West Warwick, RI (401) 828-0300
Several new area rugs — all of them woven in the United States at the company's facilities — are lined up for launch.
Hazel Ivory is a new traditional pattern being added to Central Oriental's value collection, Interlude, which has undergone a palette overhaul and is being shown in new colorways. Interlude rugs comprise both traditional and transitional looks, all of them made of 100% polypropylene and priced at $149 for a 5-by-8.
Croc Brown represents one of the company's latest Radiance Skins looks. Set to retail for $249 for a 5-by-8, the rugs feature more than one million points per meter and are carved for added dimension.
Bastille Brown is a third new rug, this one an addition to the existing Shadows collection. Shadows rugs are 100% polypropylene and feature a dense yet soft pile with extensive double pointing and drop stitch for deep texture. The palette consists primarily of earth tones for relaxed and casual looks. The suggested retail for a 5-by-8 is $199.

Couristan is unveiling 30 new area rugs. Among these introductions is the launch of two new power-loomed collections — Baroque and Samarra — which were selected to add a modern and transitional variety to the company's assortment. At the same time, the new hand-loomed Nature's Elements collection is designed to appeal to the eco-conscious buyer with its blend of natural fibers like jute, cotton, straw and grass.
Baroque is a grouping that revitalizes old world motifs, like intertwining scrollwork and flowering vines. These rugs are made on face-to-face Wilton woven machines with a combination of heat-set Courtron — the company's own trademarked polypropylene fiber — and features viscose highlights.
The Samarra collection employs contemporary takes on Persian motifs. These rugs are made of 100% wool and use a cross-woven technique on Wilton looms in their construction. The pile yarns are space-dyed for a subtle abrashed effect.
Nature's Elements is a collection of eco area rugs that because of their natural fiber content are all 100% recyclable. Designs include Earth, Wind, Fire and Water. Nature's Elements pieces are all made in a flat-woven construction and are hand-loomed.
Being enhanced with new patterns and colorways are nine other running collections. New looks include large-scaled Persian and damask designs as well as freeform contemporary motifs.

Hand knotted of New Zealand wool, each piece is antique finished to impart movement in the design and background as well as a soft hand. The rugs are made in India.
The Coltrane collection, named after the late famed Jazz musician John Coltrane, is being expanded. The wool rugs, made in India, are hand tufted and antique washed. Patterns incorporate multi-textured patchworks of warm, earthy tones and nature-inspired motifs.
