Lowe's taps pres., execs

WILKESBORO, NC —
Lowe's Companies has announced the promotions of several executives, effective March 1, including the appointment of Robert Niblock to president, a position previously held by Robert Tillman, who remains chairman and ceo.
Niblock was most recently executive vp and cfo.
In addition, Larry Stone has been named executive, operations, and Dale Pond senior executive vp, merchandising.
Stone, currently executive, operations, has worked in almost every aspect of store operations as well as key merchandising positions. Pond, currently executive vp, merchandising, is the architect of the "up the continuum" merchandising and marketing strategy.
Robert Hull Jr. will assume the post of senior vp and cfo, reporting to Tillman.
