IFDA event to examine window, floor markets

NEW YORK —
The International Furnishings & Design Association will host an after-work seminar to discuss trends in the window and floor segments of the home furnishings industry on Wed., July 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Topics will include hard and soft window treatments, UV window protection, wood floors, carpet, rugs and floor tile. There also will be a display featuring new products in these markets.
Speakers will include Joseph Scerri, president of Scerri Wood Floors Plus, a flooring boutique at ABC Carpet & Home; Chris Ramey, president, International Design Guild, a carpet and rug industry trade group; Kim Kiner, vp of product design, Hunter Douglas Window; and Annie McInnis, manager, Klaff's Tile Showroom, a new retail store opening in October in Danbury, CT.
The event will take place at Donghia Furniture/Textiles Ltd., D&D Building, 979 Third Ave., Suite 613, New York. The event will begin with a wine & cheese reception at 5:30 p.m., with the program kicking off at 6 p.m.
