San Francisco – The Pottery Barn fall book that will drop next week is regarded by company execs as “one of the strongest catalogs we’ve mailed in a long time.”
Mailing to more than 15 million households, the catalog will debut Pottery Barn’s partnership with paint giant Benjamin Moore, a move that extends PB’s color authority, according to Patrick Connelly, executive vp and chief merchandising officer.
Some 70% of Pottery Barn catalog customers plan to paint a room in the coming 12 months, Connelly said, and the most frequently asked, non-merchandise question recorded at the call center is: “What color is that room?”
“We think once the customer paints their room in Pottery Barn colors, we get ’em,” he added.
Also coming up: the August launch of a Williams-Sonoma Home e-commerce site. The format launched last year as a catalog with a handful of stores. This year, the brand is building out its assortment in upholstery, furniture and bed & bath textiles, Connelly said.
We would love your feedback!
