WPS offers scholarships

WEST POINT, GA —

Thanks to home textiles giant WestPoint Stevens, 22 graduating high school seniors' college education will be less of a financial burden.

The major mill announced that its WestPoint Stevens Foundation awarded students from communities where the company has manufacturing operations with four-year college scholarships.

Each scholarship provides $1,000 per year for four years to the college of the student's choice as long the student meets scholarship program criteria. There are no restrictions on the student's choice of study.

Although the children of WestPoint Stevens employees are given first consideration for the scholarships, it may be awarded to any student who is eligible.
