Dalton, Ga. -- Kaleen Inc. is gearing up to expand its area rug assortment to include machine-made varieties, come January.

Joe Barkley, evp, told HTT this upcoming line is still under product development, but the launch is scheduled for January during the Atlanta International Area Rug Market.

The company also hopes to add cotton and other natural fiber top-of-bed products and table linens to its offerings in the next year to 18 months. All of these new goods will be made in India.

Kaleen Inc. was officially established here in 1996 as the North American home furnishings division of The Monmohan Group, which is headquartered in Mumbai, India. But since 1964 the company has been manufacturing rugs and other home textiles products for importers in the United States and elsewhere.
